Who we are and how to contact us

We are Care Friends Ltd, T/A Work Friends (“We”, “Our” or “Us”). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 11548822 and have Our registered office at 11 Village Street, Petersfield, GU32 2AH.

What is Our role?

We operate Work Friends, an online platform comprising an App and web based portal (Services), which facilitates the operation and management of employee referral schemes in a way that is mutually beneficial to employers and employees.  Further information can be found on our website at www.workfriendsapp.com.

When you submit an EoI We will pass your details to the employer responsible for the job advert that you have responded to. All further correspondence will be directly between you and the prospective employer.

There are other terms that may apply to you

Our Candidate Privacy Policy (found in the next section of this page) applies when you submit an EoI. This sets out the terms on which We process any personal data you provide when submitting an EoI. By submitting an EoI you agree to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

The employer responsible for the job that you have applied to may have their own Privacy Policy and additional terms that will be applicable to you during the recruitment process. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with such terms and policies but we have no control over such policies or terms.

Your details

You are responsible for ensuring that the details that you provide in an EoI are accurate and up-to-date.

Relationship with employers

We help App Users to connect you with their employer if their employer has a job vacancy to fill. We do not:

• obtain sufficient information for potential employers to select a suitable candidate for the position which the employer seeks to fill;
• obtain confirmation of your identity or whether you have the experience, training, qualifications or authorisation to work in the position to be filled or that you wish to undertake the role to be filled;
• take any steps to ensure that you and the employer are each aware of any requirement imposed by law or otherwise which must be satisfied by either of you to permit you to fulfil the position to be filled;
• take any steps to ensure that it would not be detrimental to yours or the employer’s interests for you to fulfil the position to be fulfilled;
• give any indication to employers whether you are unsuitable (or suitable) for any position to be filled in any circumstances;
• propose you to employers or provide any information about you (other than the details you have asked us to share for the purpose of them contacting you directly); or
• take up any references in relation to you.

We therefore recommend that you take steps to ensure your suitability for the role advertised before submitting an EoI. This could include (but is not limited to):

• checking the identity of the employer and the nature of its business;
• checking the commencement date and duration of the position;
• checking the position to be filled including type of work, location, and hours; and
• checking the experience, training, qualifications and authorisation which the employer considers necessary or are required by law or otherwise to undertake the position.

We are only responsible for passing the details that you share with us to the relevant employer. We make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that an employer will contact you within a specific period of time or provide you with any form of job opportunity or employment. You acknowledge and agree that (1) We are not responsible for the offering or performance of a job advert or position of employment, (2) We do not endorse any particular employer, and (3) nothing shall create an employment, agency, or joint venture relationship between Us and any employer.

We may make changes to these terms

We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to submit an EoI, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
